Sandy beaches to be discovered
Peace and tranquility by the clear blue sea
Nea Roda Seafront
A long promenade lined with restaurants and bars on one side and the clear blue sea on the other. The beach is long and sandy. Traditional grass shades and recliners are offered by the restaurants and bars providing you purchase a drink. You can have your lunch by water break, a wonderful experience.
Voulitsa Beach
Ten minute drive from Nea Roda is the popular Voulitsa Beach. It is a sandy bay where a ramshackle bar has been built by the sea shore. The traditional grass umbrellas are provided free of charge on the condition that something is purchased from the bar, even if this is just a coffee. A full bar service and light refreshments are offered throughout the day. A barbecue service with souvlakia and other meats is offered on Saturdays and Sunday.
The music is quite relaxed, not too loud except on Sunday which is a beach party day for the younger generation.
Komitsa Beach
A 40 minutes drive towards the border to Mount Athos is the unspoilt beach of Komitsa. An endless golden beach, clear water, a beautiful place to spend the day by the sea. The only signs of is a canteen which provides a full complement of hot food as well as the usual grass umbrellas and recliners.
